Dave’s Monday Blast – September 8, 2025

I read an article recently entitled “Restoring our Identity”. It was especially timely considering the recent shooting in Minneapolis. “The Catholic School Shooter” further exposed the tragic reality behind transgender lies. Satan has carefully and craftily created an identity crisis in our world, but our nation in particular seems to be suffering terribly from this deception.

Scripture informs us in Romans 1 that men know the truth about God but choose to deny it in their unrighteous state. The shooter declared that “…he was not a woman and never could be, but he felt trapped.” Why? Because he had been told there was no way out; God had made a creative mistake but it can be fixed. Unfortunately, he believed there was no way to re-claim his God given identity, not only as a man but as a child of God. When he sought counseling, he ran afoul of Minnesota state law which closed that door by banning professional counseling if it offered any path away from gender transitioning.

It appears that he determined his only “treatment” was to just go deeper into confusion. He further stated, “I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brain-washed myself.” This is so sad, and of course the damage that was done by this Satanic action is everlasting.

I am reminded of 1 Peter 2:9 7 10: “But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR GOD’S OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.”

Reading into this passage further: 1 Peter 2: 11 says “Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.” Truly we are in the midst of an intense battle for the soul with our enemy, the Devil, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy the Children of God. The madness of the Transgender movement is an effort to steal God’s created identity, kill all hope, and destroy the soul.

The author of the article comments: “Fortunately, the restoration of identity to the rebellious and wayward son in the story of the prodigal son is perhaps the greatest example of God’s heart to restore you and me as His children. In the story, the rebellious son returns to the Father hoping to solely be allowed to serve his father as one of the slaves. But as the son approached his home, the father ran out to meet him and immediately brought restoration to his identity as a good and pleasing son in his eyes.”

Although “The Catholic School Shooter” had lost all hope in his choice to change his identity, his writings seem to underscore the truth of Romans 1 as he continued to trod down the path of confusion and hopelessness, leading to his destruction. INTENTIONAL men of God know that this need not have been inevitable!

Next week I want to share some Scripture that affirms our identity in Christ and boldly affirms our value and purpose as Children of God. And unlike many in the media who have boldly claimed that prayer and faith are not enough and indeed have no value at all, the Word of God says otherwise!
