Dave’s Monday Blast – August 25, 2025
Over ten years ago the Men of Intention ministry was launched with a singular purpose: Live each day with the INTENTION to be a man of God. In his second letter to Timothy, the Apostle Paul wrote: “God saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of His own purpose and grace, which He gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.” (2 Timothy 1:9).
The First 15 Devotional comments: One of the greatest gifts we’ve been given by God is purpose. From the time of Adam, God has always made clear the purposes we were created for. In Genesis 1:28 God says, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” In this very first chapter of the Word our creator clearly gives us His designed purpose for living. We discover what gives life meaning, what gives humanity purpose, and life value.
Let’s break this down: It’s in His purpose that we find satisfaction, discover that our lives matter, and understand the reason we were created. We have been called to a life of wonderful and satisfying works.
However, this way of living is contrary to the world’s way of thinking. First 15 comments: “The Bible teaches us a truth in opposition to the teachings of the world. The world says to work enough to live a life of comfort and ease. Work is done for the purpose of relaxation and comfort. God says that we are created for a life of eternal value in which everything we do is to have purpose higher than our own comfort and relaxation.”
We must remember that God has placed value and worth on your life to an extent you have yet to discover. He has a plan and purpose for your life that He’s assigned to no one else! You have a sphere of influence that no one else has. Your life is meant to make an eternal impact for His kingdom which will reign for all time.
But in His grace He has also given you control of your own life. You can choose to live your life according to His purposes or your own. If you choose each day to serve the Lord and to live according to His will, you will discover the incredible joy and passion the Spirit longs to birth in you.
