How Should We Live in 2022?

$5.07 for a gallon of gas for my hybrid! No, that’s not what I pay but that is the asking price. With this and moral frustrations we feel, the Bible reminds us it shouldn’t surprise us in a … “crooked and perverse generation” (C&PG).

Truth is, every generation has been C&P since the fall in Genesis 3.

So, “How should we then live?” … Answer? … “Without grumbling and disputing” … in this C&PG (Phil. 2:14-16).

Should we stand up, speak out as American citizens, appeal with reason and logic …Write letters … vote? Absolutely. But as parents and grandparents, we must be reminded that this C&PG is not home. We are citizens of heaven. We are here only a short time in light
of eternity. Called to be different, we are to leave a legacy of “blamelessness, innocence, honor, providing light while holding fast the word of life” in our C&PG (Philippians 2:14-16a).

We have been called to continually scramble for the high ground in the marketplace of ideas in this C&PG; yes even when ridiculed. In every every generation, God’s people have been challenged to pursue the high ground in their C&PG. Our children and grandchildren are taking notes as to how we are dealing with the moral issues in our C&PG. Let’s hang in there my brothers and sisters. This is our day to shine!
