Dave’s Monday Blast – July 6, 2015
Last week we began considering some of the teaching from our All Church Family Camp on the wisdom of being “Duct-Taped” to 3 very specific Spiritual Growth Essentials. We looked at 2 Chronicles 16:9 which says, “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.” This is a wonderful promise. Our loving Heavenly Father will intentionally provide us with His strength as we are INTENTIONALLY committed to Him.
We began last week discussing the first of these 3 Spiritual Growth Essentials that help us turn our decisions into our lifestyle. He expects us to be fully committed to Him with our TIME Joshua 1:8 – 9. The second growth essential is what we do with our TALENTS AND TREASURES. Read 1 Corinthians 16:2 and 2 Corinthians 8:7.We are admonished to give back to God consistently out of the abundance of His blessings.

- Breaks the grip of materialism – Matthew 6:24
- Demonstrates that God has first place in my life – Deuteronomy 14:23
- Strengthens my faith – 2 Corinthians 9:13
- Is an investment for eternity – 1 Timothy 6:18
- Blesses me in return – Proverbs 22:9
- Helps me enjoy life – Acts 20:35
- Will help me experience God’s blessings – Malachi 3:10
- This is the only place in Scripture where are are actually taught to TEST God!
