Dave’s Monday Blast – August 3, 2020
Last week we were reminded that the best thing we can do when experiencing anxiety is to remember that our God is with us. The circumstances of our lives, in our nation, and around the world are in the hands of our loving heavenly Father. As we focus on the promises of God found in His Word, we are able to endure the trials before us with joy and “with a peace which surpasses our understanding.” (Philippians 4:7)
Remember, as His children, we have the right and the authority to claim His promises. They are our birthright, our treasure, and our spiritual armor. You are encouraged to read the verses found below each day. They will become a shield to your thinking, emotions, and faith. Meditate upon them and use them in your prayers as you trust in His promises.
(Proverbs 3:5 & 6) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
As you meditate upon the following verses, invite the Lord to speak Words of comfort and encouragement. Pick one passage and commit it to memory. The more God’s Word is in your mind and planted in your heart, the stronger and more unshakable you’re going to be in the storm.
Philippians 4:19; Isaiah 41:10; Isaiah 54:7; Deuteronomy 31:8; Psalm 23; Psalm 91; Psalm 103
Which verses are especially meaningful to you? Are you trusting the Lord with all your heart, or are there areas that you’re finding difficult to give to Him? Are you tempted to act in your strength and find your own solutions? If so, will you now release them to Him, knowing He promises to lead you with love, power, and wisdom?
