Dave’s Monday Blast – April 3, 2017
We all lost a very dear brother in Christ last week; Paul English was truly an INTENTIONAL man. If you knew Paul in the least, you would affirm that he was a man on a clearly defined discipleship path. The ‘Indicators of Spiritual Growth’ that we spent the last two weeks unpacking were consistently on display in my friend Paul’s life.
This is how I will always remember Paul:
1. The daily practices of his life showed that his choices were in alignment with the will of God.
2. He pressed on “in the doing of what was right” in spite of his circumstances, knowing that his God was in control.
3. The compassion he felt for others compelled him to “service in action”.
4. His desire to understand the principles of God’s Word dominated his thoughts.
5. His influence upon others was contagious, and he understood that others were watching how he lived his life.
6. Paul fostered relational harmony in a powerful way; bringing people together around common goals in Christ.
As I ponder the life of Paul English; the man I was privileged to know for just four short years, I receive a glimpse of what the church could accomplish for the Kingdom IF everyone was as intentional as Paul to be the hands and feet of Christ. I know Paul liked and lived Ephesians 2:10. Paul truly was a Masterpiece!
Make it a good one brothers…we cannot get today back and we just never know when the Lord will bring us home! Redeem the time!
